#SUNBAKED2013

"#SUNBAKED: Celebrate To The Strobe Lights of The Sun, Kadayawan 2013"
That was their tag line, that was their promise. But did they stay true to that? Did they live up to the expectation?
As early as June of 2013, this event was on facebook already and the response of the people were amazing. Students (college I supposed) and young professionals were very responsive especially when Mustard Seed Events (the organizer) posted the promotional video for the event. The video was very effective that from then on, it went viral.

Now, let's fast forward to the day of reckoning. Bar started to open at 3:00 pm but I arrived there at around 7:00pm. I like showing up fashionably late. I know I need to to drink before going there because they said it was unlimited. Whooow! I was on my beach ready outfit holding a water gun ready to shoot some prospects. I was welcomed with most of the partyphiles already on their best party mode. I received many text messages from people I know inquiring if there were still tickets sold at the venue. However, there was none already because organizers had to control the crowd because of the location. Which was a good thing. Then people are already filtered. Just the way I like it!

#Sunbaked2013 was a good idea to party outside the Davao during Kadayawan where clubs were crazy jampacked. DJs played very hot EDM tracks. There was a moment there that one of the DJs played RnB tracks and it was embraced and by the crowd. The crowd was doing a videoke move while some were shooting using their water guns to other and you couldn't careless if it was water or liquor got u wet. Some of the party goers were very generous to let you drink with their most treasured bacardi, fundador, martini, and the like.

There are two things I really like about this event. One was the display of fireworks which the organizer was able to pull it off by lighting the fireworks in Samal Island since the location was in front of it. Second was the display of beach ready bodies of some partyphiles. It was not only my ears savored the moment but also my eyes. I know wished I could do the same man. I'm still working on my abs. #CRAZY
There were two things that bomb me out. One was that there was shortage of drinks. Damn! That was just sad. The mixed drinks served at the bar were not concentrated. It was "LASAW". And you know how I feel about cheap liquor. I go crazy mad. They could have prepared for overflowing drinks.
Secondly, they posted on social media that it was allowed to smoke within the vicinity. Some of the partyphiles held on to that but unfortunately, it was the opposite. The party had to stop for a moment to remind everyone that "NO SMOKING". And I commend the Police who were there because they were really there to do their job. But hey this is me being to benevolent. As if I don't smoke. LOL

Nevertheless, I give 8 out 10. And I want to see more abs, legs, drinks, action to go along with and awesom-er music for #Sunbaked2014
