Davao DJs #SupportLocalDjs

I'm not going to feature all the Davao DJs. Some of Djs I honestly don't like the style and personally I don't patronize the airy ones. And I'm pretty sure that they may lose their followers soon if they keep that up. That's why I'm not gonna write something that would criticize. Imma just gonna to feature who to follow and give you guys the links to their mix tapes and samples.  Just click on the picture.

This to support our local Davao DJs.

Trust me I know all of them personally and I go to their gigs regularly. This is in random order, okay?

Ri' Vurb EDM Street Party (T'Nalak Festival)

We’ve traveled a hundred plus kilometers to get to Koronadal City. It’s actually my first time to travel in the part of the country.  On contrary to popular belief it’s actually safe to travel there. Or probably it’s all about the timing. LOL

We started really early and we were really really excited for the rave. As I said before we bought our booze, crop tops (yes, slutty classy look whatever that is) After going to the hotel we went directly to Alunan Avenue where everything will happen. It’s actually a long street you can compare it to Claveria Street from San Pedro to Ateneo. Aside from us being awesome head turners, I was so amazed by the sound system I think there were 2 sets of speakers that covered the whole road plus satellite video broadcasting.

We started drinking around 3 in the afternoon to get our blood pumping for the whole night. It’s just so amazing to see a lot of vagabond people gather in one location. Dude we were approached like 10 times in a span of two hours. I felt so harassed. There were police officers and they didn't do anything about it. Crazy!  Another thing is during festivals its really normal for us to say high to people. Especially the once with somehow exceptional features. Summary alot of dream weavers are not really that friendly. HAHAHA

Now to the party. It started around 4pm when the organizers played Afrojack's and Guetta’s Ultra Miami Set. It was a passive way to tell the people “Hey, dude! You should do this later” And bet your ass of they did. I was like deym this is how to party. There were 4 ravers inside the VIP who were giving out free shots. Coolness!

In fairness I was all eyes on the production it was like teken two when they select a picture before the start of the set.  Mike Mayer (Halo Samal, Bricklane, Hybrid) was the first one to play I really like the progression what I honestly didn't like was the stinger. LOL The crowd really danced to it there was a mix of Top 40 tracks which was actually necessary I heard a Kesha track somewhere in the middle.

There there’s Ronn Mirrage(club velvet) is who really put on a show. Dropping the bass down low but keeping the progression intact for the next artist. The crowd went wild when he drank I don’t know how many amount of Jack Daniel's while standing over the DJ booth during his set. Plus he shared it with the crowd no not the VIP he went down and gave free shot to the people at the GA!

There was a tech glitch but then he just put on How you love me by 3LAU and everything went just fine.
At exactly 10 pm there was a fireworks display that lasted for 10 minutes. Sad because people didn’t really get to see it clearly because there was a tree blocking the way. This was a better view but at the party you can't really see it. Oh well maybe next time.

Klawn was the MC at the same played his set. I love how he mixed TOP 40 tracks like talk dirty to me. The crowd went so wild this woman almost took off her shirt in front of the congressman. I was like violated in so many levels. But it was pure fun. I just didn't like his stingers. It was kinda annoying, yes I know that you are a Davao Dj.

The main highlight of the Show was RAM MIA (Acropolis Superclub) given that the progression was really really high. She needs to sustain the hype. And she did an excellent job! I personally was tired of dancing but I just can’t help myself she was so good. No wonder she was 1st place in the San Miguel Competition.

For a DJ to sustain that kind of energy in the crowd that means something. Given that there were thousands of people who raved with us. Just a comment for Ram she might need to give it a lil action and sometimes she’s just too stiff. Probably that’s her style classy and pretty. But I still Love her!

The travel was really worth it. It was my first to listen to all of them in festival and it was a great combination.

Kudos for the local government (Congresman Hernandez and Governor Fuentes). In taking this risk in educating their people with Electronic Dance music and supporting local talents! This is one way of seeing how awesome and local DJs are. I guess I’ll be seeing them next year.
Overall, I went home satisfied. If you know what I mean.

I give it a 9 out of 10.

PS: Two thumbs up on their marshals they really did an excellent job in controlling the crowd. I thought all hell broke lose when the GA people invaded the VIP area. Not a very good combination.

Thank you

Weekend Partynerary!

It's been two months since my last outdoor rave. I know I just need to wait for a few weeks before Kadayawan but you know I'm getting too familiar with the clubs in Davao and It's high time to have variety. So we're actually planning a road trip going to T'Nalak Festival. I have no idea what the history this but when you interchange and shuffle the letters it can mean alot more. If you understand what I'm saying!

This is going to be this Friday so we should prepare our toy guns, bottle of booze and crop shirt and show Marbel how to effin partey like a real partyphile! I'm just excited how this one would turn out. Since, no one there really knows me its time to be wild and release the beast within.

Friday, July 17

The good thing about this festival is that they're acknowledging Davao talents. So we have Dj Ram Mia, Ronn Mirage, Mike Mayer and MC Klawn. I guess I'll be seeing some of you there.

Clublife 101 E3

Another episode coming from Manic Nightnings! And boy we were in for the surprise. DJ Surf and Mark Nicosia is going to party with us! Like omg! Plus its for the cheap price of what 200 bucks? Phhuuuleaaase! I'm sure you can afford that door charge. So we gonna wear our rave outfits and compensate ourselves from the job well done on our prelim exams! I was hoping to watch the DJ competition but I guess there isn't any. This will be at the acropolis Superclub.

If you want something for free but still classy. You might also wanna drop by STARR for COLOURS. Maybe you can also wear the rave shirts you prepared for the night. I'm just not sure if the would allow tank tops for guys. I was scolded once never again! For sure this is going to be freaking packed this is a must go!

This is will be an epic weekend am sure. So ready your ears new tracks coming your way and let's rave the night away and forget about everything well until the next day. When you realize that you already have a hangover!

Maroon Night

We made sure that we were prepped up before going to the party. So we started the night with a bottle of Rum at the brewery. To my surprise Ram Mia was playing. She played some house and techo tracks early in the evening. I love how she wore pulled off her sporty shorts and sexy top and made it look really classy.

I'm so loving brew now. They have a DJ just like some of the chill out place in Manila eg. Tipsy Pig (Jet Boado fan here)

We finished out bottle then went off to the STARR for the MAROON Night! And boy we were in for a surprise. It was 10ish and the party was already wild. I didn't even know that you can be wild at Starr. No complains, I love seeing kids dancing, dripping in sweat and sandwiching each other. PWC people really knows how to party.

The main man of the show was Clyde Harris. And ofcourse he did a pretty awesome job. If a Jock makes everyone stand up and dance that makes a hell of an awesome jock. He is there to really give them new partyphiles the musical experience. WTF romanticizing parties!

Let me go to some details. I love how Starr can make you vulnerable to judgement. People from the VIP can really see all the shit that's going on down stairs. Like the ugly girl that wont let go of the bad ass pogi guy. Like the two oversize happy gay guys who were really awesome dancers and the spontaneous show down over a guy dancer and a girl wearing a blue dress. And them throwing beer at each other. The management was panicking. LOL It was really fun to look at.

A really weird thing was when the DJ played AZOTAME just to please the crowd. Well, good that it didn't went to far. Can't complain it was there party. But proly next time leave the budots at Bonggoyan. #JUSTSAYING

Overall, I'm just loving how Davao party scene is really booming. And we're now educating new breeds of partyphiles.

No, I won't rate this one. I don't know why. But am pretty sure I'll be in Starr very soon.

And one last thing, there was this bouncer who didn't wear deodorant. Can you educate them please. We were like... sheeesss!

Where we going on the 4th of July?

It's independence day! LOL. No I'm no american. And there are no tailored events for this day. Where to go later? If you wanna go clubbing STARR and Acropolis have something in store for everyone.

If you wanna go back to the old school and meet your favorite 80s and 90s DJs. You might wanna drop by Acropolis later.

And if you want to party with Clyde Harris and the Party Animal. Drop by at Starr and party with the PWC Partyphiles. Not the usual crowd that I party with but I feel that this is going to be fun. Well, I better see some naughty stuff coz am actually getting bored.

See you later.
