#KICKBACK

Kickback—coming from the urban dictionary is a get-together consisting of close friends, partying and drinkingspread the word. Please! House party is technically different because it’s not so intimate. So it’s wrong to say, we are having a house party at my place and you just invite your close friend over, because house parties should be for everyone. Very vulnerable to crashers. If you really want to have an awesome time and with plenty booze come around; throw a kickback.

I know I wrote an entry about this like two months ago that was more descriptive. This entry is more of what we actually did this week. Yes, its holy week. While some may hit it off to the beach we did our kickback in the pool side of my friend’s condo, went to Brew Damosa to continue drinking and listen to some good beat-- last Wednesday and just last night, we rented a hotel with some friends. Unlimited booze no restrictions. And, we don’t want to trash our place right?

I don’t want to be insightful this time. I just want to let everyone know that, in order for you to have a great time. You just have to make things happen. Go to S&R buy booze, invite few friends, rent a hotel room, bring speakers, prepare your playlist (EDM please) then we're all set for a night of fun. Note that, if you don’t remember anything and you fainted. That means you had a blast.

Very quick recall/ tips whatever you may call this:
1. Always have an extra boxer when you're in a kickback. You will never know you might need it at the end of the night. Especially if its a pool party, prepare to be wet in all expected and unexpected places.
2. The DJ at Brew was fine. I don't exactly know his name but he was my teacher for a Law subject way back, he was kinda rusty maybe because he didn't play for a very long time. But it was cool of him to play a Britney Spears mashup.
3. Smart Phones should be safe kept at all time.
4. Start a party with Merlot, It was a nasty feeling. The right kind of nasty.
5. Try drinking with a shot glass for even distribution. You will really know a person's alcohol tolerance before 12mn.
6. Food makes you sober. Don't eat while you drink, Eat before you rave.
7. Don't invite people that you don't like. It's not that you are not civil it's just that it can probably kill the vibe. Unresolved issues, people!

So if someone asked you, let’s have a kickback you should always say yes. Not unless you’re a loser you don’t have a room for spontaneity in your system. And oh, one last thing. If you were invite don't go to the place empty handed you don't wanna make a bad impression. #JustSaying

I don’t wanna regret anything but this happened. #YOLO It's the wrong kind of wrong but hey, it's fine. It's nature's way of telling me that I need to buy a new phone very soon.

Oh no! I was insightful. Duhh what the hell! See you at the next party!

Destination Summer 2014

The only goal of this trip was just to party with DJ Jet Boado. We didn't really expect anything exciting.  To be honest, this was not advertised very well or if it was, the efforts were not able to reach the market that it’s supposed to target.  What I’m saying is FUCK there were like only about a hundred people partying! Not that it’s a bad thing, I liked the company, and it was as if we were throwing a small kickback with a few cool people. Aside from that, everything was perfectly awesome!

I will be very bold in saying that Destination Summer is the Foam Party Authority. Unlike other parties I went to, they used cheap detergent soap to fuel their machines. They (Destination Summer Crew) I believe used something hypoallergenic, no itchy feeling on the next day.  Super awesome! The funny thing about it though is that there was just too much and ended up having a white mountain made out of foam. It was fun!  You can just dive blindly into the towering pile of foam without breathing and we did it like three times. #YOLO

Some great party elements were the free water slides, the trampoline, beer pong, and the party setup was right on the sea shore. We also didn't have to worry about the drinks because everything was cheap and delish. There were also girls who gave away free drinks. We had our stash so we gave them a piece of Davao action drinking right from the bottle and some of our new found friends also brought their alcohol powered water guns.

DJ Jet and Some Random guy
DJ Enzo and Jack Ripper Partying with us
Of course since this was an EDM Party let’s not forget the music - awesome! DJ Ripper doesn't have to try so hard to please the crowd because he always knows our taste in music. DJ Cholo did a pretty good job as well, no idle moment. Although Ripper and Cholo pleased us I’m just so disappointed that DJ Jet was not able to play at day 1.  It’s probably because the crowd was so little and shit like that. They should have secured the line up schedule ahead.  If they would have said that then Saturday would have been a better party and we could have stayed there for Jet and Xfactor. But hey, DJ Jet already apologized on twitter for the sudden shift of lineup so everything is all good. We ended up drinking with new people we just met until we passed out.

Lastly - and I want to emphasize this - this was the very first outdoor party with a very decent comfort and shower room. #JustSaying

To the destination Summer crew, thank you so much for an awesome night.  It was so worth the travel and every penny spent. You just need to improve advertising please; we need more people. The best Foam Party by Far. Maybe there will be an improvement on day 2 for now I’ll give it an 8 out 10. (Almost perfect but no DJ Jet and there were Few people)

SUMMER SWEAT POOL PARTY

I love pool parties. And yes, this is the only pool party for summer 2014. (So far) I really can't miss this one.

The damage is only 200 bucks you will get a bottle of beer and a free pool pass. How cool is that? Plus we can already participate on the beer pong competition. Party Animal said that it will be groups of 3 and we need to create a name of the team then they will post it in their Facebook page.

It's been quite a while since I partied with Party Animals Event Productions. I miss their DJs and I would really want to listen to DJ PAUL CURANTO set. I also met this very cool guy while I was partying; he plays for cruises in the U.S. a very nice guy, down to earth haven't heard him play though but my friends are pretty excited for DJ Alf Pulido.

Few reminders:
1. Swim wear please
2. They will award the hunk and Gal of the night (Yummy)
3. Beer bong competition with big prizes (BIG hmmmm)
4. Free Face Painting

That's Going to be on Saturday April 26, party starts at 3ish (afternoon okay?) LOL See you there!

#SUMMERFROLIC2014

Everything was worth it - from the travel to the price. I had a very long week and I badly needed a breather. True to their word, the party was the bomb! Although there may have been bits of problems but those were all tolerable.  I went to the Dahican on the second day since I had other engagements. Corporate slave here, people!  I was really pissed when the organizers just gave me 1 stub of beer ticket with the lawfully invalid reason that I only registered during the second day. Now, why is that? I like paid for a thousand bucks 2 months ago and this is the “thanks” that I get. LOL Anyway that’s just beer. Another downer; the price on the second day was 50% off. WTF! Okay, let’s just give it to charity then.

It’s so good to see a lot of familiar faces during Summerfrolic. Davao Partyphiles traveled hundreds of miles just to be at this party. Now that's just super cool!  I was in the area around 4ish and the music was awesome.  I’m not sure who was playing that time, that he did a bang up job. This was supposed to be the time for the color dash, however, people are not yet inside. It would have been better if they made it to a point that everyone participated that time. Unfortunately, everyone was just too busy socializing at the beach. Color dash looks way way better when the sun in still up. But still, kudos to FrolicFox as we love the unlimited stock of color dash.  It was quite handy during the night - perfect way of being dirty; the good kind of dirty. It became a perfect excuse to touch somebody you like and smother the powder all over their body. I mean hypothetically and not saying I did that.

The location - I was expecting that it would be really close to the shoreline but I think there is like a law for that. So it’s all good. Anyway, I was still rolling in the sand mid-party so I can’t really complain.

Drinks were never a problem.  We brought our own stash.  They did not say the drinks are unlimited so we came in really prepared. Unfortunately, you can’t bring drinks inside on the second day.  That is just sad.  Parties recently have strict rules when it comes to that.  I don’t really see the logic behind it. We're not barbaric people that would just throw bottles at each other’s faces. We were resourceful enough for the solution.  We managed to hide the bottle at the back of my friend’s shirt so we were able to sneak it inside; very ninja move.  I don’t care!  The drinks inside were not very pleasing. They have cheap vodka and cheap tequila doubled the price, lessened the satisfaction.

So let’s move on with the show and music.  DJ Torch’s set was awesome because he played all our favorites.  However, since he played early, people were still in the shoreline or eating so only a few got the chance to enjoy it.

I didn't particularly enjoyed BCAL’s set - why?  My eyes were really violated in so many levels when those show girls showed up.  We were thinking, is this an EDM festival or a Wowowee concert. We just had to leave. If you looked at the stage, it had a kind of nipa feel; the similar ambience of a common cheap beer house, I must say.  Then there are these hired girls grinding inappropriately just like ledge dancers from god know where.  It was so wrong!  Some of the boys from GA were drooling although I assume some of those with class didn't like it. (I wish I had pictures of the girls)

Fortunately, Katsy Lee saved the night! Good thing the girls were gone on her set.  So we went back and partied really hard. DJ Katsy Lee, as my friend says, was “AMAZE-BALLS”. She really knows our taste.  To add up with the excitement, our man MC boo was there. This guy really knows how to pump up the crowd; from The Flight until Summerfrolic, he never disappointed us… plus he is also very generous in giving free drinks – whether be booze or water bottle, he just knows how to keep the party vibes up. Thank you MC Boo for the Cuervo, we shared it with everyone! With a perfect combination of music and hype, the crowd really went wild.  Water gun with food coloring, more color dash, foam and water sprinkles; it was perfect.  In the middle of the set, fire dancers impressed us and I think it’s a perfect technique in mellowing down the crowd. Then back to the party again. Other organizers should take this as a challenge.  Some organizers just promised champagne showers on their Ads but FROLICFOX delivered and it was delicious!

Werwolvz were hot and cool at the same time. Hot because they were good looking and girls just shouted when they took their shirts off. Lean not buff!

Enough aesthetics, do they produce their own music? The bed and transitions were really flawless. The crowd went wild with the epic stage dive and the throwing off of the inflated girl balloon dolls; which I was informed later on that the doll was named Mia.  Could have been the name of the girl who broke one of their hearts or both? Kidding!

Thank you for giving us a great time. Two thumbs up! Frolicfox thank you for the 10 minute fireworks display really made my night.  Talk about perfect timing!

To end the night Ron was a perfect ending just weird but very cute when he played single ladies. We were already drunk and swam along with the waves of Davao gulf during this time.
I don’t wanna complain about GA jumping over the fence when it seems that the security’s job was just to scowl people bringing bottles inside because everybody had an awesome time. The best effort was the free light sticks for everybody that you don’t need to fight for it to get one.  Also should be mentioned, the free bandana and non-cheap waterproof identity wristband deserves a big clap.

In between the party I got to hang out with really cool people. Here are some pictures that I grabbed from people that I met.

Certainly other organizers should keep up because #Summerfrolic2014 is the best and biggest beach summer party by far. Although this is still inconclusive since there are a lot more parties to go to this summer.

Let’s give it a 9 out of 10.

Til the next party Migs here.
