It's Saturday today!

Davao is crazy about parties. And whoever you are and whatever you are Davao can give you what you want. Enough sugarcoating it and let me tell you guys what's in store for you tonight. 

#WonderfulMindaNow Music Fest

This is actually the best of both worlds. They have bands and Jocks from Manila. It's actually free but if you want to be part of the VIP like me you might just need connections or just visit the booth to buy prepaid load or something! That's a pretty good deal. Plus it's just at Damosa its a ride away.

 FESTIQUE

If you want to listen to one of the best DJs in Davao and the Philippines. You may want to go for an adventure in Digos City. It's free no need to worry about that. Just load up your gas coz this is an hour and a half drive. But I guess it's also worth it. Pure rave am sure! You will be in for an EPIC night! And ehem! No liquor ban here bitch!

CATALYST

BM people and people who wants to party with them (BM are few of the most awesome people that you will meet in your life-- like me) you might want to party with them at STARR and with the Party Animal DJs. I might drop by later!

Superklasse Saturday at Acropolis Superclub! Is actually one of the best thing to do for a weekend night at the best party place in Davao City! And I really agree. One of my fave young jocks are going to be playing later! He is awesome with hard bass DjAmneesia definately you jump and sing with all his new tracks in stored for us. DJ Ramia my favorite female jock in Davao she has the swag and knows how to give it to us. She sure wont be 1st place at a show off if she's doesn't have what it takes. Plus DjPong (not really sure who he is) and the awesome davao hype man McLemuel

Saturday After Party Parties

In between Bailar, we went at Hybrid. DJ Dru was there and beside his cute and infectious smile plus the charm. He was also was doing pretty well on the mix. 

Hybrid is still hybrid. I won't sugarcoat nor romanticize but we just missed Dru playing. Club music mix with few edm tracks makes a really great combination. Thanks Hope to see you again soon.

After since, my friends are still not contented. We went off to ACROPOLIS SUPERCLUB for SATURDAY SUPERKLASSE. 

What's really great about this place is everyday there is like a special party. It was actually my first time to se MC Lemuel in action. And he was not half bad. 

Aside from the awesome music. The Jocks (DJ Torch and DJ Brylle) really know how to put on a show.

Free tequila shots for everyone. Who wasn't wasted last Saturday? Too bad for you. You missed the party.

Plus the crowd is a great combination of young and seasoned Partyphiles. And they don't really care what you do there because all of them came there to do one thing. To live life and rave!

And it was such a surprise that Niel Arthur Recinto us fan girls can't help but just dance with his mix and have selfies with him. 

The night was fun. Where were you? Just a regular Saturday night with Migs. I so love Davao!

Bailar 2014

That night was crazy fun, well maybe for our crowd.  I’m going to have two entries. The one exclusively for Bailar 2014 and another one for what happened next since we split a lil bit early. I really had high expectations for this party since Tostar did pretty well last year.

The drinks were surreal but yes it was real. They had "Palabra de honor" since were doing some Spanish translation. If they say it’s unlimited it really is unlimited! Parties are totally rad if you have the right... connection, connections, connections!

I am pretty sure there was a guy or two who fainted. Wait here is the evidence. 

See? Migs don't lie. 

And I love the red cups, it looks good during photo ops. I’ve also been a fan of the jello shots, I think my friends finished the whole table full of it. Opppsss. #SorrynotSorry 

There were variety of mixed drink. I don’t even know what was in those. All I know is that they had flavors in them and it was delish plus the awesome kick afterwards. This was actually great, so that everyone in for a surprise. There was also a non-alcoholic mix. Booo! And people were seriously drinking it. Why is that? Ugh! very bad, but hey who am I to judge? All I know is am enjoying my hard shit.

Mix it with two bottles of beer. Everyone was in it for a night out of soberness.  I'm not sure if its safe to assume that, maybe I was just thinking it since I was too drunk to even care.

Let’s see, Bailar is dancing. Yeah there were dancers. And they were swagging, but it made it more intimidating to dance because you need to you know pump and grind just like them. LOL Wait, not really but you get my drift, right? The floor was not that full unlike last year.

The emcee was not really werking it. Unlike last year, very posh and sophisticated hosting. The games were still fun! What’s a frat party without beer-bong right? They drank the never to be mention beer brand! God, the winner looked really wasted after.

The 1^st part of the set was Enzo, he was doing some progressive house tracks it was really cool but at that time people weren't still dancing. 

By the time DJ Kevin Rage was playing tracks weren't really familiar and that danceable. I can’t get a grip of what was missing.

Overall, It was a fun party but not as epic as before. Maybe some of the law school people are studying for their exams because these partyphiles were not really at their zone.

But don’t get discourage, parties are just leveling up this year. And I'm still a big fan. Thank you for the awesome time!

I give this party a 7 out of 10. Leverage on best practices from last year.

Save the date June 21, BURLESQUE: BAILAR 2014

I’m not really sure if TOSTAR is going to happen this year. But who needs Tostar when Tau Mu Fraternity and Sigma Tau Mu Sorority are the same cool people who made that hell of a party? Of course count me in! This I know is a Rave-UP (Rave level-up) party. Wait for it… BURLESQUE: BAILAR 2014. It’s Spanish for Dance. And no we are not dancing waltz here; and awesome shit! JazUp Dance Crew is going to party with us. So we’re gonna see some swaging, more grinding and a lot of twerking.

I’m just thrilled of what’s in store for everyone. I’m pretty sure there will be games and a showdown maybe. 

DJ Kevin Rage of Magic 89.1 and DJ Enzo (Starr resident DJ) is going to take care of the beats from Clubbing to Raving.

Aside from all the aesthetics that I just said, Bitch! We are going to be drunk the whole effin night. 2 beers and UNLIMITED cocktails. And if they say unlimited, it really is unlimited! And that ain’t limited to one type of cocktail only; plenty of variety for sure. The Jello shots—hmmmm love! I’ll expect this okay? If not then I’ma be a very cranky Migs and it won’t look pretty.

Enough said, We sure are going to be wasted. And I’d like to quote Matthew Koma saying “I like us better when we’re wasted”. And I’m sure you would like to see overworked professionals, corporate slaves, hot and sexy law students grind and showing some moves. This doesn't happen every day, you know.

In their minds, they deserve this break. And who wouldn’t want to party with party-deprived partyphiles? So are we doing this or not. All of this for only 350 bucks. That's at Cork & Barrel Gastrolounge on the 21st. 

If that’s not worth your money I don’t know what is.

Acropolis Superclub

What I like about Acropolis Super Club is that they have a lot of happenings. It's like a radio station format different playlist daily. Which makes it very interesting at least we know when to come and who's playing. Jocks have different styles and I'm going to familiarize their styles very soon. 

Wednesdays

Ladies night! Tomorrow is extra special because it's independence day!

Thursdays

am not really sure yet will keep you posted on this one. 

Fridays

It's going to be flashback and more. My Fave DJ Gary is going to play so better be there and feel the beat of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Saturdays

They said we have to BEWARE because they have the best in the business. Very bold! But I guess if you look at the line up I believe it's true. Since they believe in both experience and diversity. They will be launching their resident DJs. 

Although, It's sad because, I'm not really sure if I'm going to be there. It's kinda my special day. Migs gonna have the weekend off from parties and have a kickback instead. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't witness this and party hard with them! 

Finally, a new bar we can be comfortable going. Spacious and the ventilation is superb. The peg is classy but not too intimidating. Affordable but not cheap. Acropolis is taking Parties to the next level! 

Plus the staff here are very very nice. Unlike other clubs I know that has impolite bouncers. Sorry I just had to say it. It was rude.

New Kids on Deck

I’m not really sure if having my biases or not is still an issue. I don’t fucking care because that was sure hell of a great party! New Kids on Deck was an awesome summer-ender event and an EPIC way to commence the school year. Let’s go to details how Manic Nightnings did an excellent job, why I really love this party and what you guys missed out if you weren’t there.

You know like all other indoor parties, we have our reservations. Maybe we need attitude and swag when we dance and it’s really difficult to unleash your wild side if you’re inside a bar because you might break something or whatever. So you have to get in the vibe to club music and there is a certain way how to dance over it.  Now as delightfully surprised, it was raving all night long. We were getting wild, people were wearing tanks, ripped-off shirts and skimpy shorts in a club! Like how cool is that? We also had LED lights for free (Love it!) and neon paint on our faces.

And in order to have the right crowd, there was a door charge so it was making sure that we ain't gonna party with those jej-brothers!

On breaking shit and stuff the place was big enough. I haven’t told anyone that Acropolis is one of my favorite clubs by far in Davao and it was great seeing it filled with awesome partyphiles.

My friends were drinking tequila, doing body shots and dancing to good music. Speaking of dancing there was this pretty girl who did splits on stage. Good job! You were awesome. 

I was very impressed with DJ Brylle’s progressive house set. He played new tracks during his set and that’s how I really appreciate this guy, he is not afraid to experiment. Awesome!

However, I was kinda disappointed with the manic trio. I thought they were gonna play together in sync. Like the Swedish house mafia. LOL My mistake for expecting that; but individually I like Niel’s set as it was more on Non-Vocal Elctro tracks - very Martin Garrix without the pinkish cheeks. LOL My girl and gay friends were drooling on his set. Call us official fan girls. Oppps #SorrynotSorry 

JIN Chan was more on clubbing music which is not really my cup of tea. If it’s like old school or throw in a bit of Steve Aoki (Rave the night away) that set would have been so much better. He was cute through.

I also love DJ Torch’s set. A proper climax for everyone. At that point some were like making out, jumping, randomly pulled each other not knowing their names without breaking a sweat because Acropolis has the best air-conditioning system for a club. It was superb!

I felt like I was in a 3LAU (Bang) music video - being a freak without getting judged.

Please do it again! This time more new tracks Beatport has tons of it.

We left the club satisfied, went straight to our after party and got wasted till morning. LOL

I give it a 9 out of 10.
